AIG is pleased to announce that Juan Tomás Durañona y Vedia has been appointed General Manager and President of AIG – Metropolitana, subject to local regulatory approvals.
After previously serving as Chief Operating Officer of AIG Mexico, Juan’s decades of experience in the Latin American insurance market further positions AIG Ecuador for growth and innovation.
AIG Metropolitana Cia de Seguros y Reaseguros S.A. (AIG Metropolitana) entered the Ecuador in 1969. It is a member of American International Group Inc. (AIG), with offices in Quito, Guayaquil and Cuenca. It offers insurance in personal, small businesses, business and compensation classes.
